The 2020/21 London Pulse trial process looks a little different this season. At London Pulse, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach and are moving with the constantly changing sporting landscape.
Both physical and virtual trials are mandatory.
The physical trials will take place at Score, 100 Oliver Rd, Leyton, London E10 5JY on 12th and 13th September 9am - 4pm.
Saturday 12th - Mandatory Open Trials for London Pulse Pathway, including entry point to U21, U19 and U17 NPL and Hubs
Sunday 13th - Athletes will be selected from Saturday 12th to attend NPL trials on Sunday 13th.
Due to current social distancing guidelines, we will also be holding virtual trials.
There will be five online evaluations
All athletes will be required to complete four evaluations. The S&C and Ball Skills evaluations are mandatory. Athletes will also be required to complete two evaluations from shooting, attacking or defending.
Below are suggested positional examples
GS/GK: S&C, Ball Skills, Shooting, Defending
GA/WA: S&C, Ball Skills, Shooting, Attacking
WA/C/WD: S&C, Ball Skills, Attacking, Defending
GD/GK: S&C, Ball Skills, Attacking, Defending
There are worksheets and video demonstrations to accompany each evaluation.
Evaluations for S&C, Balls Skills and Shooting have a recording sheet to be completed alongside the task. Athletes will need to upload video evidence (full and in real-time).
All submissions will be watched by our London Pulse Selectors.
In the event we are unable to hold a physical trial, data from our virtual trials will be used to make a selection for our NPL Long Squads and the 12 London Pulse Hub
